This course is based on the book, Beating the Odds, by Dan Richard.

Objective:  This course will give students a quick, but thorough understanding of NOW Foods - how they got started, what they've gone through over the years to stay afloat and how they came to be the #1 selling brand in the natural food industry.  As a result, students will learn a little bit more about the company, the quality and the family, behind the company!

Course Material: The book, Beating the Odds is available in downloadable PDF format once you register.  Students are NOT required to obtain a copy of the book to take this course.  If you are a NOW Retailer, ask for your copy of the book when you place your next NOW order.

Fee:  None - NOW History course is FREE to all

Exams: Students must submit five online tests to complete this course, but are not required to pass the tests to pass the course. Whether you read the book or just Pass Go directly to the tests, you will become more familiar with the NOW family and the product behind the label. And if that's not enough, we're sending you a NOW University T-shirt and your completion certificate just for taking the exams, whether you pass or not!  

 

COURSE OUTLINE:  

• Read the book Beating the Odds by Dan Richard, OR don't read the book - we encourage you to read it, but it's your choice!
• Watch two short videos; the first, an historical recount of America in the 1960's to "set the stage for the NOW story; the the second, another short video about the history of NOW Foods.
• Watch (or read the transcribed version) of an online presentation, How to Determine Product Quality
• And finally, take five online tests that you don't even have to pass to earn your completion certificate and your NOW University T-shirt!

Program Recognition - Upon successful completion of the NOW History Course:

• Each student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for completing the NOW History course at NOW University*;
• Each student will receive a NOW University T-shirt for completing this course.
